Wine of the Week: Hubert Meyer Crémant d’Alsace Rosé NV
August 17, 2015
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this light-hued rosé expresses the hallmarks of Crémant d’Alsace: dryness, balance and elegance. Notes of cherry, wild strawberries and fresh acidity make this Crémant a food-friendly wine as well as a refreshing aperitif.
Like all Crémants d’Alsace, Hubert Meyer is made in the méthode traditionelle, the same method as Champagne that results in a wine of similar quality, but at a fraction of the price. The Meyer family comes from a long tradition of winemaking, dating back to 1722 in the historic village of Blienschwiller in the Bas-Rhin region of Alsace.
